The Yellow Mountains were an ancient mountain range located in the south-west of Endor (Middle-earth) between the ancient Sea of Ringol and the ancient East Sea.[1]

HistoryEdit

The Yellow Mountains are shown to have come into existence after Melkor struck down the Two Lamps and the chaos and destruction that followed. However, the Yellow Mountains do not appear on maps of Arda during the time of the Awakening of the Elves in name.[1] The Yellow Mountain's location in the world or what it became part of is not known in later days. It is possible it no longer existed anywhere in Arda after the War of Wrath or the Change of the World.
