Wise-nose was a pony brought by Merry for the Hobbits journey to Rivendell.

Wise-nose was presented along with the ponies Sharp-ears, Swish-tail, Bumpkin, White-socks, and Fatty Lumpkin. Along with the other ponies, Wise-nose was stabled at The Prancing Pony but was later found to have gone but was later found and brought into the service of Barliman Butterbur. Wise-nose was given its name by Tom Bombadil.[1][2][3]
