The White Company was the Prince of Ithilien's personal bodyguard.

It was formed after the War of the Ring by King Aragorn II Elessar to guard Prince Faramir, the first Prince of Ithilien. Its first Captain was Beregond as he was dismissed from the Guard of the Citadel for his deeds during the war.
