Omentielva 2015
Each year a Tolkien languages conference is held somewhere in the world. It's called Omentielva. This year's one is from 6 - 9 August at the Greisinger Museum in Jenins, Switzerland.
Anyone can register as a non-attending participant for 25 Euros, which entitles you to a copy of the published proceedings.
To attend the conference, pay 180 Euros.

Officially a Big Wiki
Having achieved the 5,000-article goal, we have qualified for listing at http://community.wikia.com/wiki/Hub:Big_wikis - and I've listed us there. When we reach 10,000 articles, we can change our star from yellow to orange. I may not be around then!
4,700 articles
Just 300 more articles will qualify this site for listing on Wikia's "Big Wikis" hub. So nobody should be deleting articles - OK???!!! And our experts should be given every encouragement to keep creating. -- Robin Patterson (Talk) 10:44, August 26, 2013 (UTC)
Restoring the Wikia Tour
Created several years ago. An apparently misinformed helper deleted it in 2008, and I didn't notice. I discovered the deletion when I found that the link from the previous tour didn't work. Now it's restored.
Needs some updating to reflect the shifting emphasis of this wiki. Current activists can discuss that.
If you need structural help (e.g. inserting new pages), ask me.

Anybody interested? (I'm not sure whether the tour templates still work with the New Look.) — Robin Patterson (Talk) 04:13, November 15, 2010 (UTC)
