Torvin was a hunter Dwarf. He selled blasting powder, to Hirgon, and the rebels. And he assisted the ranger Talion in his quest to find the Black Hand of Sauron, in the Third Age.
He does not appear in the works of J.R.R. Tolkien, and was invented for the video game Middle-earth: Shadow of Mordor and its sequel.
Torvin was a hunter of Graugs and Caragors, and, prior to Talion's time in Mordor, had lost his brother to a gigantic Graug.
After meeting Talion, he taught him how to ride on Caragors, and how to slay or tame Graugs.
He later journeyed to Lithlad, where he assisted Baranor in taking the citadel of Shindrâm.
