Tolman Gamgee, born in SR 1442, was the seventh son and thirteenth and final child of Samwise Gamgee and his wife, Rosie (née Cotton) Gamgee. His eldest sibling, Elanor, is 21 years his senior.

HistoryEdit

There were two other family members that Tolman shared his name. There was his Uncle Tolman and then his maternal grandfather. His Uncle Tolman is his uncle on both sides of the family. He is Rosie's older brother, but also married Sam's younger sister Marigold.

His grandather Tolman was known as Farmer Cotton, and was a great leader for the lower class of the Shire. Both of Tolman's namesakes fought in the Battle of Bywater.

Frodo did not foresee Tolman to Sam.
