Tolkien Gateway is a wiki which also uses MediaWiki, GNU FDL, and concentrates on articles relating to J. R. R. Tolkien and his works. The website states that it is "the largest Tolkien encyclopedia on the net" with over 10,000 articles, over 8,000 images, and over 250,000 edits. Tolkien Gateway was founded by Hyarion in January of 2003 and hopes that with the help of lotr.wikia.com Tolkien fans will be able to acquire any and all information related to the Professor's works.
