Added by Istari323In Peter Jackson's adaptions of the Hobbit, before the Dwarf Prince Thorin Oakenshield finds the mighty sword Orcrist, he holds a short, oddly shaped, Battle Axe, that he will use in many battles.
It has a steel handle, with a single, triangular-shaped blade at the top.
In the Battle of the Five Armies, when Thorin and Company run out of the Lonely Mountain to engage the enemy, the book says that Thorin 'wielded his axe with mighty strokes' this could be the axe he was using but it it is unlikely as all the Dwarf-Lord's weapons we're taken from him by the Mirkwood Elves when they captured him, and he had to replace them with what weaponry was in the Treasure Horde of Erebor.
