The Hobbit: Armies of the Third Age was a web browser game developed by Kabam with involvement of Warner Bros. The game was released on March 21, 2013[1] and discontinued on June 20, 2014[citation needed]. It was available only on PC.

Players could control armies of Dwarves, Elves, or Orcs and control characters such as Bilbo Baggins, Kili, Yazneg, and Gollum.

Players are able to lead your armies in to battle using some of the greatest heroes from Middle-earth, including Gandalf, Legolas, and Thorin Oakenshield in fast-paced tactical combat. You will build and command powerful armies to defend your own kingdom against brutal assaults. Players can choose from 3 races; Dwarves, Elves, and Orcs each with unique units. Players can ally with thousands of players to wage epic war online.
