Telemnar was the twentysixth King of Gondor.
In TA 1636 the Great Plague raged through Middle-earth and Gondor was one of the most seriously affected areas in Middle-earth. Many Númenóreans died, amongst them King Telemnar and his immediate family. He was succeeded by his nephew Tarondor, who was the son of Telemnar's younger brother Minastan.
The name Telemnar was a Quenyan word that was likely to have come from the words telempë, meaning "silver", and nár, meaning "flame". This would give the meaning "silver flame" to his name.
