This is a piece of fan fiction. Why? Well, unless the writer provides a source that was created by Tolkien (e.g. "The Silmarillion, "The Book of Lost Tales") there's no proof that all of these things happened.

Worst, some of the details come from the film instead of the book: 1. In the book, Narsil was broken into two pieces, not several as described in the text. 2. Even how Sauron, Elendil, and Gil-galad died is debatable. According to the book, the two kings wrestled with Sauron, but were slain in the process. 3. The weapons of Sauron isn't mentioned in the book (i.e. the giant mace), nor is his height 4. When Isildur cut off the ring, he only cut off one finger from Sauron's hand.

So in my opinion, this is a beautiful piece of fan fiction bullshit that does Tolkien great dishonor.

This article needs a rewrite to seperate book canon and film canon. The article should be mainly based around the books and the film version should be seperated stating that is what it is refering to in a header.-- KingAragorn  talk  contribs  edits  email  22:30, 14 April 2007 (UTC)

Where the hell did this person get all these random facts? This article needs serious cleaning up its more or less a bunch of stupid-sounding, badly written, and unsourced load of fanfic bullshit.
