Quote is wrong. It's "He wields the Foe-Hammer! The Biter, bright as daylight!" not "The Beater, bright as daylight!" Someone please fix this. Anonymous Contributor April 2, 2013 14:08

The Quote is correct. Glamdring is also known as the Foe-Hammer and The Beater. Orcrist was the one known as Goblin-Cleaver and The Biter.Elrantiri (talk) 20:56, April 2, 2013 (UTC)

The Original Goblin King Edit

During the scene after Bilbo fainted back at the shire, Gandalf was talking about his Took history when he mentioned that his great great uncle had slain the Goblin King and knoked his head off and it sailed 100 yards. So the Goblin King in the Hobbit was a desendant to the original Goblin King.

No, the goblin king gandalf mentioned was known as Golfimbul. The goblin king we see in the hobbit is The Great Goblin. The great goblin rules over Goblin Town in the central misty mountains, and Golfimbul was the king of the goblins in the Ettenmoors and Mount Gram in the north. Azog is the king of the orcs/goblins of Moria and his son Bolg was the ruler of the orcs/goblins of Mount Gundabad, the capital for the orcs in the misty mountains.
