The page refers to a ban of the Valar placed on the Noldor when they passed into the East in pursuit of Morgoth. It is my understanding that the Ban of the Valar is the restriction placed on the Numenoreans to prevent them from sailing west, out of sight of their own lands. I assume the writer meant the Phophesy of the North which was spoken to the Noldor by Mandos, that if the Noldor chose to reenter Middle Earth then Valanor would be shut against them. Also, insofar as the lifting of the ban due to Gala

Galadriel-Noldor?

Although Galadriel left Valinor with the Noldor, and lived with them in Tirion, she was only a fourth Noldor, with half of her ancestry being Teleri and another fourth Vanyar. Once she arrived in Middle-Earth, she went and dwelt with the Sindar (Teleri) and married one of them, later to rule them in Lorien. Since she spent most of her time with the Teleri, and the largest portion of her ancestry is of that sort of elf, should she not be classified with them? LurkerLordB 02:28, June 20, 2011 (UTC)

Telepathy?

Galadriel did not have telepathic powers, Nowhere does Tolkien said she did. She had a heightened intuition and preturnatural ability to read people, and exalted wisdom like all of her kind, but not telepathy

telepethy

I dont think it was techicilly ( pardon my spelling ) telepethy  but more of the power to enter or read peoples minds given by nenya or possibly both nenya and her own magic

Wrong Ages

The area about being the Lady of Lothlorien, as well as her grandchildren, shouldn't be in the Second Age. None of that happens until the Third Age.Blindpoet (talk) 15:23, April 16, 2015 (UTC)

Which "area" are you referring to?  - Darkchylde  Talk  Contribs  05:33,4/17/2015
Under the Biography area, in the Second Age section - a good chunk of it happened in the Third Age. Becoming the Lady of Lothlorien, having grandchildren, etc. That shouldn't be in that section.Blindpoet (talk) 17:57, April 17, 2015 (UTC)

Why is this page semi-protected?

I'm only curious, like, was there a problem with people vandalising it? :')

Galadriel was not related to Luthien. Galadriel's grandfather Finwe was good friends with Luthien's father Thingol but this does not make them related.138.86.234.149 03:15, September 6, 2015 (UTC)
