The One Wiki to Rule Them All

The trivia presented in this page was nothing but three conjectures concerning 1. the impossibility of Eärendil defeating Ancalagon as its narrated in the Silmarillion; 2. the plausibility of the dragon destroying the towers of Thangorodrim given his size; and 3. a statement that Gandalf might have or might not have seen Ancalagon, depending on wether he did or did not participate in the War of the Wrath. None of those are facts, but merely the opinion of the contributors, that should be reserved for the community forums.

Size[]

If he was larger than those mountain he fell on -- The Thangoro mountains -- and they were, what, 35,000 feet wouldn't we have a way to kind figure out his height? Judging by the picture, standing on his hide legs, he would probably be more than twice as big or at LEAST twice as big. I think 70,000+ feet (at the least) is a good estimate (I myself think it's somewhere in the 90,000s)Werebereus (talk) 02:45, March 31, 2015 (UTC)
