  • Bilbo Baggins leaves the Shire, leaving Bag End to Frodo. Following an advise by Gandalf he also leaves to Frodo the One Ring, thus making Frodo the sixth Ring Bearer.
  • Frodo Baggins turned 33, the age of adulthood for Hobbits
