StockbrookLOTRO

The Stockbrook in The Lord of the Rings Online.

The Stockbrook was a stream located in the Eastfarthing of the Shire. It joined the Brandywine after passing its namesake, the village of Stock. It had steep banks lined with brambles that gradually become lower as it heads towards the river.

According to the The Atlas of Middle-earth, its total length was about twenty miles.[1]

History[]

The Stockbrook was what alerted Peregrin Took to the fact that he, Frodo Baggins, and Sam Gamgee had gone off course as they headed cross-country from the Elf camp near Woodhall to Bucklebury ferry. They had to cross it and head right, winding up at Bamfurlong, Farmer Maggot's land.[citation needed]
