Ruby Gamgee, born in SR 1438, was the eleventh child and sixth and last daughter of Samwise Gamgee and his wife, Rosie (née Cotton) Gamgee. She had two younger brothers: Robin and Tolman.

The origin of her name is unknown, so that makes her the fourth and final Gamgee child without a namesake.

Frodo didn't foresee her for Sam.
