The Old Winyards is type of wine from the Southfarthing. In The Fellowship of the Ring novel, Bilbo gives Old Rory Brandybuck a dozen bottles of Old Winyards as a parting gift; Rory forgives Bilbo for his vanishing trick at the party and declares him a capital fellow after the first bottle. Later in the book, just before Frodo Baggins leaves Bag End, he, Meriadoc Brandybuck, Peregrin Took, Fredegar Bolger, and Folco Boffin drink the very last of the Old Winyards in a farewell feast.
Portrayal in AdaptationsEdit
