Year ascended to the throne
Nolondil was the third son and youngest child of Vardamir Nólimon, the second King of Númenor.
Nolondil's eldest brother became the third King of Númenor, Tar-Amandil. Nolondil married and had three children children: one daughter, Yávien, and two sons, Oromendil and Axantur.
"Nolondil" means "Devoted to knowledge" in Quenya from ñólë ("lore, knowledge") and -ndil ("friend, lover, devoted to").
