On March 3, he marched to Helm's Deep with many elves, led by Haldir, to fight alongside the Rohirrim during the War of the Ring. Upon arriving at the Hornburg, Nilfaleth turned and stamped his bow on the ground. As an army of 10,000 Uruk-hai were sent by Saruman to exterminate Rohan, Nilfaleth was stationed on the Deeping Wall with many elves led by Aragorn. Nilfaleth fought in the Battle of Helm's Deep and was among the defenders that were killed.
