Náli was a Dwarf of Durin's Folk.

Náli was part of an expedition led by Balin to reclaim Moria for the Dwarves of Durin's Folk. He was joined by Flói, Frár, Óin, Ori, and Lóni. When it became clear that the colony was going to be a failure as the Orcs had arose in full force to reclaim it, the Dwarves were driven into battle and were defeated. Náli was killed in a battle while defending the Bridge of Khazad-dûm and the Second Hall alongside Lóni and Frár. His body was recovered by the remaining Dwarves and given a burial.

His story is told in the Book of Mazarbul, which was found by Gandalf when he and the Fellowship passed through Moria during their travels.[1]
