My Dear Frodo is the first listed soundtrack of Peter Jackson's The Hobbit: An Unexpected Journey.

It is the music playing for the opening of the first film, featuring old Bilbo introducing the history of Erebor. The opening titles feature a variant theme for the House of Durin (The House of Durin theme) played along with the One Ring theme's harmonies to set the tone for the subsequent films. Just as the The Lord of the Rings opening titles were scored with the History of the Ring theme, the opening titles of The Hobbit trilogy are scored with the Shire theme. "My Dear Frodo" introduces many new themes for the The Hobbit films, such as the Erebor theme, Thorin's theme, Smaug's theme, and the Woodland Realm theme.
