Manwendil was the third child and second son of Elros Tar-Minyatur, Half-elven and first King of Númenor.
Biography
Manwendil was born after SA 61 and was the elder brother of Atanalcar and the younger brother of Tindómiel and the short reigning king Vardamir Nólimon. Nothing else is known of his life only that he was possibly married and had children.[1]
Etymology
The name Manwendil means "Devoted to Manwë" from the Quenyan suffix -ndil ("friend, devoted to").[2]
