Mannish is the term that J. R. R. Tolkien used to describe something associated with the race of men in Middle-earth. It is used mostly to describe the languages of Men. Adûnaic was an ancestral Mannish tongue and the native speech of the Númenoreans. The most common mannish language is Westron, also known as the Common Speech, though it was influenced by Sindarin and other languages in Eriador.
