Lorgan was a cruel slavemaster holding many Men and perhaps Elves in thralldom in the fourth century of the First Age. After forcibly taking Tuor away from his Elf protectors, Lorgan enslaved him for three years, until Tuor managed to escape out of the north. Afterwards, Lorgan put a price on his head.
A decade later, Lorgan and his Easterlings were among those who believed Húrin Thalion was in league with Morgoth when Húrin was released from Thangorodrim and sent to Hithlum with an escort. These Easterlings avoided adversity with Húrin, to maintain Morgoth's trust, and he was allowed to roam in Lorgan's lands. In time, Húrin and his newly gathered companions announced their leave from Hithlum at Lorgan's halls, and Húrin revealed he was not in league with Morgoth. Easterlings took up arms to kill him, but Lorgan let them depart freely, that Morgoth's plot for Húrin might further unfold.
