Lightfoot was a horse of Rohan. He was the father of Snowmane, the horse ridden by Théoden.[1]
After the Battle of the Pelennor Fields, Lightfoot's foal Snowmane was killed and buried, and a stone was set up to mark his grave. On the gravestone was written, in the languages of both Gondor and Rohan:
- Faithful servant yet master's bane,
- Lightfoot's foal, swift Snowmane.
