Letter 85 is the eighty-fifth letter written by J.R.R. Tolkien and published in The Letters of J.R.R. Tolkien.

Summary[]

Tolkien reported battling with the separated sequence of the Ring, which had meddled with other dire and more blunt obligations and had ceased his composition progress. His answers were little guide changes, an additional day for the Entmoot, and additional days for Trotter's (Early name of Aragorn) pursuit and Frodo's voyage (two days from the Morannon to Ithilien). Shockingly he needed to stop and convey addresses.
