Letter 82 is the eighty-second letter written by J.R.R. Tolkien and published in The Letters of J.R.R. Tolkien.

Summary[]

Tolkien had quite recently come back from an exceptionally poor creation of "Arms and the Man". While at the theater he saw Charles Williams with the woman who was writing Ring and would have liked to send Christopher a greater amount of it soon. Notwithstanding Christopher seeing it he didn't think he ought to compose all the more, being occupied with amendment. Since it was mature enough for a separated perspective he thought the section, "Ruler of the Golden Hall" was rather great.
