Landroval was one of the Great Eagles of Middle-earth.

Landroval is the brother of Gwaihir the Windlord. He assisted in his brother's many run-ins with Gandalf and his companions. Landroval was present in the Battle of the Morannon, swooping to attack the Nazgûl on their Fell Beasts. He aided Gandalf and his brother Gwaihir in rescuing Frodo Baggins and Sam Gamgee from Mordor after the completion of the Quest of the Ring.
