The One Wiki to Rule Them All

This discussion was prompted by the YouTube content on the Arwen page. At this time, there are twenty-two YouTubes on the page, and they are not laid out in any particular way as to make the page presentable with them. The present result is that they just drop in from right to left as the page loads until they reach the left edge of the browser window where several then pile up before wrapping the last two below. In order to see what the result would be, I setup a little 4x6 matrix with an HTML table in a little edit preview so that they were all dropped in individual table cells and found that once they all appeared properly on the page my browser was seriously affected. Page loading and scrolling were noticeably impacted. Now, I have no problem with YouTube content, but there should be some guideline on its use in articles. One idea could be to limit the number of YouTubes in a main article page and require additional ones to be moved to clearly identified sub-pages.—N3rus 20:56, 11 March 2007 (UTC)

Yes, I like this idea of having subpages for them. That way they can stay here, but the main article doesnt have too many videos on it Gimli 04:47, 12 March 2007 (UTC)
