Kirill Yeskov (Russian: Кирилл Еськов) is a Russian paleonthologist and writer. His most famous fiction book is "The Last Ringbearer" (Russian: 'Последний кольценосец', Polish: 'Ostatni Władca Pierścienia'), an alternative retelling of J.R.R. Tolkien The Lord of the Rings trilogy, based on the proverb, 'History is told by the victors.' In his re-telling, the denizens of Mordor are not the antagonists.
