Kirill Yeskov (Russian: Кирилл Еськов) is a Russian paleonthologist and writer. His most famous fiction book is "The Last Ringbearer" (Russian: 'Последний кольценосец', Polish: 'Ostatni Władca Pierścienia'), an alternative retelling of J. R. R. Tolkien The Lord of the Rings trilogy, based on the proverb: 'History is told by the victors.' In his re-telling, the denizens of Mordor are not automatically the 'bad guys', and the whole story is much more nuanced).
