John Noble

John Noble played the role of Denethor in the Lord of the Rings movies. He also auditioned for the part of Black heart in a Disney show called Pirate islands the lost treasure of Fiji and successfully got the part.

Temper

John had to use and release a lot of temper in the scenes he came in. Especially when he had to pretend to be angry at David Wenham. Also the more people say his character is stupid or his evil the better he's done his job in the return of the king. But he was really happy in all the scenes Billy Boyd came in because he didn't have to shout or show a temper.

John's character Denethor doesn't really care about his younger son Faramir as much as his older son Boromir until Faramir was brought back wounded and unconscious and dying from Denethor's pespective after leading his men in a foolhardy and blatantly suicidal attempt to retake Osgiliath from the forces under Gothmog's leadership.
