J.W. Braun is an American writer born in 1975 in Milwaukee. He was the author of The Lord of the Films, a book about Lord of the Rings films.

Braun, an original member of The Lord of the Rings Fan Club, has written for various websites and publications over the years and has interviewed some of the cast and crew of the films. He is currently married and still lives in Wisconsin.
