Inzilbêth was a noble woman of Númenór, the wife of Ar-Gimilzôr, the twenty-third King of Númenor, and a Queen of Númenór.
Biography[]
Inzilbêth was the daughter of Lindórië, who was herself a descendant of Tar-Elendil, the fourth King of Númenor, and also of Tar-Calmacil. Inzilbêth was secretly one of the Faithful, and she passed on her ways to their son, Tar-Palantir. Their second son, Gimilkhâd, opposed his elder brother's policies and continued practising the beliefs of the King's Men in secret.[1][2]
Etymology[]
The name Inzilbêth would seem to be Adûnaic.
