Henderch was a Man of Númenor, known for being a sailor on the ships of Aldarion and a servant to his King. He accompanied Prince Aldarion on the ship Hirilondë during his many journeys to Middle-earth.
Biography
Henderch was from the Westlands of Númenor (likely the region of Andustar). He became close to the great mariner and nobleman Aldarion and became a sailor and companion, along with a man named Ulbar on his ship following him on his travels, including the one in SA 873. When the Hirilondë returned to the harbors of Rómenna in the autumn of SA 882, the year before Prince Aldarion became King of Númenor, Henderch was a steward to the Prince.
Henderch accompanied his lord during his nightly ride to Hyarastorni to consult Hallatan, Aldarion's nephew. Afterwards, Aldarion spoke to Henderch and told him to ride homewards with his gratitude. Aldarion would never again return to Emerië.[1]
