Haleth was a young boy of Rohan, estimated to be around fourteen-years-old, who is forced to fight at the Battle of Helm's Deep. He is a movie character and does not appear in the book.

Portrayal in adaptations

Peter Jackson's The Two Towers

He is the son of Háma, a high-ranking soldier who dies from a Warg attack before arriving at Helm's Deep. Haleth's only appearance is at Helm's Deep, where he has a grim conversation with Aragorn, telling Aragorn that the men believe that they will not survive the night. Aragorn then reassures him, stating that there is always hope. The conversation ends here. The fate of Haleth is unknown after the war.

Years later, when Aragorn's son, Eldarion, comes to Rohan to ask for help, Haleth and Eomer's son greet him and his friends. During the Battle of The Executor, Haleth died in Eldarion's arms.

It is interesting to note that "Haleth" is the name of the brother of Háma (son of Helm). This could be the reason why Peter Jackson chose this name for the son of Háma (doorward of Meduseld).

Behind of scenes

Haleth is played by Calum Gittins in The Two Towers.
