Húrin II (r. TA 2605 - TA 2628) was the fourteenth Ruling Steward of Gondor.

[edit] Biography

Born in TA 2515, Húrin II was the son of Hallas. Húrin II succeeded his father as Steward in TA 2605. War on Gondor's eastern and southern borders continued, but lessened, and the Éothéod to the north now became the Rohirrim, the Ridderfolk of the plains. Other than minor skirmishes no events are recorded during his reign. Húrin II died in TA 2628 after twenty-three years of rule at the age of 113 years old. He was followed by his son Belecthor I.

He was named after a host of ancestors and great heros. Hurin I who was his ancestor; Húrin of Emyn Arnen who was the founder of the House of Húrin, and Húrin Thalion hero of the First Age and father of Túrin Turambar.
