From the One Wiki to Rule Them All, the Lord of the Rings Encyclopedia.
(Redirected from Green Dragon Inn)
A popular inn of Bywater, the Green Dragon Inn was frequented by Hobbits from both Bywater itself and the neighboring settlement of Hobbiton.
The Hobbit Frodo Baggins was a regular at the Inn. Sam Gamgee and Ted Sandyman have their discussion on the odd things that are going on in the Shire there. Meriadoc Brandybuck and Peregrin Took refer to the Green Dragon Inn in The Return of the King (film) when they are singing on a table at Edoras. Specifically, they sing "the only brew for the brave and true, comes from the Green Dragon."
