Ghân-buri-Ghân was the chief of the Drúedain living in the Drúadan Forest in the latter half of the Third Age.

Biography

Ghân-buri-Ghân's early history is unknown. He was best known for his aid to King Théoden's relief army of Rohirrim to the aid of the city of Minas Tirith. He guided them through a safe path through the secret pass of Stonewain Valley to avoid an attack by the orcs, so they could safely reach Minas Tirith with reinforcements before it was conquered by the enemy. In return, Théoden promises that his people will make peace with the Drúedain, and that his people will battle and drive away the Gorgûn (Orcs), that have been troubling the Drúedain for years.

When Aragorn became King of the Reunited Kingdom, the Drúadan Forest officially belonged to Ghân-buri-Ghân and his people and no one could enter there without their permission.
