A dragon-firework made by Gandalf and set off by Meriadoc Brandybuck and Peregrin Took in The Fellowship of the Ring film

Gandalf’s Fireworks were fireworks made by Gandalf the Grey, sold or given away in the Shire during his many visits there.

Gandalf created many different kinds of fireworks, namely "squibs, crackers, backarappers, sparklers, torches, dwarf-candles, elf-fountains, goblin-barkers and thunder-claps", as well as rockets that burst in either stars of blue and green and or in a rain of flowers. He also created fireworks shaped as trees or dragons, and it was thought that his skill with pyrotechnics was based solely on his possession of Narya, the Ring of Fire, or else that Narya augmented his native power as a Maia.

Each firework was marked with a large red 'G' and an Elf-rune. Certain Hobbit children speculated that the G stood for 'grand'.
