Frerin was a Dwarf of Durin's Folk.

Biography

Frerin was the second son of Thráin II, older brother of Dis, younger brother of Thorin Oakenshield, grandson of Thror, and uncle of Fili and Kili. He lived in the Lonely Mountain. Little is known of him except for that he perished at a young age when he joined in the Battle of Azanulbizar in the climactic battle of the War of the Dwarves and Orcs, beneath the East Gate of Khazad-dûm in a wood near the Mirrormere.[1]

Appearance

In the Hobbit, Thorin said to Fíli that he reminded him very much of his late younger brother.
