Standard package for new Wikia sites (adopted by those I have seen that have added the Forum function) has two forums: a Help desk and a Watercooler. Neither "Council" nor "Fellowship" seems set up to handle questions as distinct from the floating of ideas. It should be listed before the others so as to be most obvious to the readers who most need the Forum.
I'm willing to create it; KingAragorn is probably thoroughly sick of the process if I correctly read the page histories!
But "Help desk" is not a Middle-earth term. Ideas for naming the OWTRTA Help desk, please!
I suggest, as a starter:
- "Gollum answers riddles"
(from "Riddles in the Dark")

- I think we should rename the Index to 'The Council of Elrond', as an overall name for our forums. Maybe then we could have two forums as 'Help desk' and 'Knowledge Bank'(Where we could discuss anything about the Lord of the Rings world).-- KingAragorn talk contribs edits email 11:33, 15 August 2007 (UTC)
Progress[]
Neither of the above has been completely adopted; but someone created a distinction on Forum:Index and we now have the standard arrangement and appropriate names, with help desk as Forum:Council. Wikians familiar with the standard setup will feel at home without much relearning. — Robin Patterson (Talk) 01:24, January 16, 2011 (UTC)
