Flight to the Ford is the twelfth chapter of Book One of The Fellowship of the Ring.
Plot
They pass the trolls Tom, William, and Bert, who were turned to stone by Gandalf long before. Eventually, they meet the elf Glorfindel from Rivendell, who takes Frodo with him back to Rivendell on his white horse. At last, the Black Riders are washed away in The Flood over the Ford.
