Narzug was a member of the Hunter Orcs searching for Thorin's company of Dwarves in the film The Hobbit: The Desolation of Smaug, and Azog's second-in-command along with Fimbul after the death of Yazneg. Narzug was eventually killed by Thranduil, King of the Woodland Realm.

The character is not in the writings of J.R.R. Tolkien; he was created for Peter Jackson's The Hobbit film trilogy. He is also the only Orc of the trilogy who uses the Common Speech.

Peter Jackson's The Hobbit: The Desolation of Smaug[]

In The Hobbit: The Desolation of Smaug, Narzug operates as one of Azog's Second in command along with Fimbul. Later he accompanies Bolg as he tries to hunt down Thorin Oakenshield and his Company but is apprehended by Tauriel and Legolas in Mirkwood after attempting to shoot Legolas in the back. During an interrogation by King Thranduil and his son, Legolas, Narzug taunts Tauriel about the impending death of "the black-haired archer," who'd been shot with a morgul arrow by Bolg. He proceeds to warn Thranduil about a growing power in the south, a power by which he calls "The One." Shortly after, Narzug is beheaded by Thranduil. When questioned by Legolas why he would kill Narzug when he promised to set him free, Thranduil responds, "And I did. I freed his wretched head from his miserable shoulders."

LEGO: The Hobbit[]

Narzug is an unlockable character in LEGO The Hobbit: The Video Game. He can be found near the Forest River, next to the pier. Unlike the usual Orc scimitar, Narzug wields a bone-crusher instead. However, his interrogation scene is missing. In the game, Legolas captures him and fixed him to a tree, leaving him alive. Later, he appears along with Bolg. He convinces Azog to attack Thorin's Company in Beorn's house. In the film, Fimbul is the only Orc who convinced Azog. Also, he winds up wounding Kíli, but Bolg wounds Kíli with an arrow in the movie.
