Goblin Miners were the wretched workforce of the goblins of the Misty Mountains.
In Sierra Entertainment's The Hobbit, these goblins use pickaxes and black-powder bombs to take care of threats in the tunnels, one of which is Bilbo Baggins himself. However, these goblins are stiff and slow, and are as such little threat in-game.
