Farewell song of Merry and Pippin

Farewell song of Merry and Pippin was a song sung by by Merry and Pippin.

After it was settled at the cottage in Crickhollow that Merry, Pippin, and Sam knew of Frodo's quest and would be going with him, Merry and Pippin began a song about the company's brief stay at Crickhollow before leaving the Shire. The song is described as "made on the model of the dwarf-song that started Bilbo on his adventure long ago, and went to the same tune."

Though begun by Merry and Pippin, also Frodo, and possibly Sam, joined in the singing, as Frodo himself makes up the last sentence.
