Evangeline Lilly also known as Nicole Evangeline Lilly is a Canadian actress.
She plays the Elf character Tauriel in Peter Jackson's The Hobbit: The Desolation of Smaug and The Hobbit: The Battle of the Five Armies.
Biography
Evangeline Lilly was born to a Protestant family. Her father, Paul Lilly, is a home economics teacher in British Columbia, and her mother is a secretary. Lilly also has two sisters.
Career
Evangeline Lilly starred as Kate Austen in the ABC drama, Lost, from 2004 to 2010. More recently she appeared as Hope van Dyne in the 2015 Marvel Cinematic Universe film Ant-Man. She is expected to reprise the role (becoming the hero known as the Wasp) in both the 2018 sequel and the 2019 Avengers film (the latter of which will also feature Benedict Cumberbatch)
Trivia
- Lilly was previously in a relationship with fellow Lost co-star Dominic Monaghan, who plays Merry in the Lord of the Rings trilogy.
