Estelmo was Elendur's squire during the late Second Age.

During the Disaster of the Gladden Fields in TA 2, the young man Estelmo was one of the last to fall and was found alive beneath the body of his lord Elendur. He heard the words between Isildur and Elendur between their parting.[1]

Since it was stated that "three men only came ever back over the mountains",[2] Estelmo could have gone with Ohtar, Isildur's squire, to deliver the Shards of Narsil to Rivendell.

The first element of his name, estel means "hope".[3]
