Edhellos and Eðellos
Year ascended to the throne
Eldalótë was the wife of Angrod, the second son of Finarfin. She was also grandmother of Gil-galad and Finduilas.
Eldalótë was a Noldorin Elf and was likely to have been born in Valinor. It was in Valinor where she married Angrod and had one son named Orodreth. Orodreth escaped to Nargothrond when his father was slain in Dagor Bragollach.
She probably went into Exile and translated her name to Sindarin in Middle-earth (the Noldor who did not reach it had no Sindarin names, cf. Elenwe). Nothing else is known of her fate.
Eldalótë was a Quenyan word that meant 'Elf Flower'. Edhellos (also spelled Eðellos) is the Sindarin translation of her name.
Eldalótë Morëinion was also the name of a Gondor nobleman that lived in Pelargir.
